heterogeneity within the orientalist discourse: representation of the orient in womens travelogues and mens paintings
from 1950s onward, new theories and critical approaches burgeoned across humanities. these theories were context-oriented; as a result, the analysis of discursive practices gained significance. thus, social, political, historical and cultural discourses that have been hitherto marginalized and considered inferior to literary texts, were introduced as important texts to be analyzed by critics. o...
Epitope Tagging of Endogenous Proteins in Human Cells for Discovery of Novel Protein/Protein Interactions
Epitope tagging is a powerful and commonly used approach for studying the physical properties of proteins and their functions and localization in eukaryotic cells. In the case of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, it has been possible to exploit the high efficiency of homologous recombination to tag proteins by modifying their endogenous genes, making it possible to tag virtually every endogenous gene a...

Epitope tagging.
Epitope tagging is widely used in the characterization of newly discovered proteins. This review presents an overview of how the technique evolved and how it is being used today, with a focus on its use in the study of protein-protein interactions. In addition, the evolution of the technique for proteomic analyses is described.

glass plate) was covered by Saran wrap, labeled by hot ink, and exposed 10 min to autoradiography film. The region corresponding to the fragment of interest was cut with a scalpel, the Saran wrap was removed, and the sandwich with the piece of the DEAE paper and Whatman 3MM paper was prepared as for unlabeled DNA fragment. The rest of the procedure was identical to that for the unlabeled DNA fr...
